"The Great Hyannis Road Races" consists of three great races in one event.

The Johnny Kelley Half Marathon is an annual tribute to Cape Cod's Marathon Man, Johnny Kelley. Although Johnny's name is synonymous with the Boston Marathon, he had also represented the United States as a member of three Olympic teams. At the young age of 18 in Nazi Germany, he ran with another legend, the great Jesse Owens, in the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin. He was the only American to cross the finish line, finishing the race in 18th place.

The Barnstable Police Officer Michael Aselton 5Km is a memorial to a fallen Barnstable Police Officer. The Officer Michael Aselton Scholarship Fund will be an event beneficiary. This Scholarship Fund benefits Barnstable High School students who seek an education in law enforcement.

The CHIPS House 7.2 Miler benefits a great local charity that benefits The CHIP'S HOUSE an organization that was established in 1992 to provide support and assistance for head injured residents of Cape Cod. The CHIP'S House is committed to providing community-based housing for individuals who are disabled because of severe closed-head injury or other disability.
