8th Barnstable Police Officer Michael Aselton 5Km

The Barnstable Police Officer Michael Aselton 5Km begins at 7:30 am on May 27, 2012, in front of the monument overlooking Hyannis Harbor, dedicated to Barnstable Police Officer Michael Aselton.
Course Description
The course is extremely picturesque and historical, passing the Officer Michael Aselton Memorial Park overlooking historic Hyannis Harbor, the Hy-Line Nantucket Ferry Boats docked at Hyannis Harbor, along Kalmus Beach, past the John F. Kennedy Memorial, and thru some old Cape Cod seaside neighborhoods.
Barnstable Police Officer Michael Aselton 5Km is a loop course that is paved and flat. The course is not closed to traffic; however, the traffic is very light on the course. The Course is well monitored by the Barnstable Police Department and seasoned road race volunteers.
Bib Numbers
Each race will be designated with a different colored Bib# to differentiate the participant in 2012.

Capstone Photography will cover the race course, capturing photos of runners as they progress through the race. Race photos will be posted within five business days at www.capstonephoto.com for viewing and purchase. To the top 1 finishers in each age and weight division, men and women: 14 & under, 15--17, 18--29, 30--39, 40-49, 50--59, 60--69, 70 & over, Clydesdale Open and Masters 190-210lbs., Clydesdale Open and Masters 211-225lbs., Clydesdale Open and Masters 226lbs.+, Clydesdale Sr. Masters 190lbs.+ & Filly Open and Masters 140lbs.+.
The overall, age and weight divisional winner awards ceremony will be on the Hyannis Village Town Green at 9:00 A.M. We will not be mailing out awards - you must attend the awards ceremony.
The first man and woman will each win a special engraved plaque.
The first person in each division will be awarded a 2.5" medal with engraved race logo.
"Finisher Medals" to all that complete the Barnstable Police Officer Michael Aselton 5Km.
